Musica e calcio in un coro per l’FC United
La musica di un 45 giri ska ha ispirato il coro da stadio che viene cantato dai tifosi presenti in gradinata durante le partite di calcio dell’FC United of Manchester.
Sappiamo quanto la musica in levare, originaria della Jamaica ed importata dai caraibici in Inghilterra, abbia preso molta importanza in terra d’Albione prima nel 60’s poi negli anni’80..ed a qualcuno che ancora calca i gradoni delle tarraces sarà rimasta nel cuore!

I tifosi dell’FC United hanno scelto le note di un brano fantastico dei Bad Manners per sostenere la propria squadra del cuore.
Quella dei Bad Manners è una canzone del 1980, in pieno periodo revival ska…una bomba!
Il brano fa riferimento al cantate della band, il mitico Buster Bloodvessel ed alla sua stazza fisica..si parla di un omone che chissà quanto pesava già 30 anni fa..
Secondo proprio loi stesso cantante “Lip Up Fatty” era un’espressione usata dai ragazzi di scuola per dire alla gente di stare in slenzio..come fosse un “zitto ciccione!”.
