Il tifo calcistico violento raccontato con la musica oi! della skinhead band Condemned 84 di “when saturday comes, it’s the time for fun”.

La canzone di cui parliamo oggi è dedicata a chi va allo stadio non certo per starsene a vedere la partita…daltronde quando il sabato arriva è il momento del divertimento! E più che altro “Stay loyal to your mates”! Il titolo del brano è alquanto descrittivo, poi il genere musicale, la sottocultura skinhead e gli anni 80, quelli d’oro per il proliferare di hooligans fanno il resto.

Condemned 84

Sono una Oi! – punk (ne abbiamo fatto riferimento nell’ articolo:”Giustizia per Gabriele” o in “Goal! dei Klasse Kriminale”  ) band britannica. Secondo il loro sito web, la band si è formata nell’ autunno del 1980 come Criminal Tendencies, cambiando nel 1983 in Condemned, e nel 1984 in Condemned84.  Più tardi, quando la scena OI! fu influenzata dalle tendenze politiche e si divise, i Condemned 84 si unirono a gruppi uniti come gli Skrewdriver e presero una linea più heavy-metal, hard rock.

Tra il 1984 ed il 1987 si possono contare 90 concerti nel Regno Unito ed uno dei concerti del gruppo che va ricordato sicuramente è quello dell’ Isola di Wight con altre punk – oi! bands, tra tutte i Business (ne abbiamo fatto riferimento nell’ articolo:”England 5-Germany 1“) che richiamò un elevatissimo numero di skinheads e che terminò con un “bel casino”!
