On the piss with George Best è il coro da stadio che cantano i tifosi del Manchester United, la Red Army, sulle note di Spirit in the sky.
Best, uno dei migliori giocatori al mondo, indossò proprio la casacca rossa dei mancuniani, più precisamente la numero “7”, la mitica. Il Beslfast Boy giocando con il Manchester United vinse una coppa d’Inghilterra, una Charity, 2 campionati, una coppa dei campioni ed un pallone d’oro.
Oltre che sul campo, George era il migliore anche fuori: ben vestito (“follower of fashion”), sempre accompagnato da belle donne e fantastiche automobili, il “campione” era il migliore anche al bancone quando si trattava di bere alcol.
Un po’per la sua passione del pub che ci accomuna, un po’per il personaggio e per le sue frasi celebri, Best è nel cuore di tutti noi. Scomparso il 25 Novembre 2005, la tifoseria dello United lo ricorda così, intonando questo coro:
